The total land occupied by Egypt is around one million square kilometers. Interestingly, this area is equal to the total land occupied by Germany as well as France.
Total population of Egypt constitutes approximately seventy-eight million people. Most of them speak Arabic. However, French and English languages are also used. Almost all the people who have had formal education can communicate in these languages.
A huge percentage of the population believes in Islam. In Islam, Sunnis are more in number. Altogether, 94 percent of the population follows Islam. The remaining 6 percent belong to either Coptic Christian or some other community.
Egypt is well known for its hot weather. Except two to three months of winter season, which is comparatively cold, the temperature always remains high. Thus, it is better to visit the country when it is little cold.
The currency of the country is called the Egyptian Pound, and it is made up of 100 piastres.
