Baht or THB is symbolized by ฿ and one baht consists of 100 satang. The coins are available in the denominations of ฿10, 5, 1 and 50 and 25 satang, wherein the copper coins hold the value of 25 and 50 satang and the silver coins are of 1, 5 and 10 baht. In order to avoid any complications arising from exchange of currency, it may be prudent to carry traveler’s checks in US Dollars, Euros or Pounds Sterling. Credit cards from the American Express, MasterCard and Visa are also acceptable all over the country, and the ATMs are also easily accessible.
