Another famous landmark is the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). It took many decades to complete this landmark, with the construction starting in 1867 and finishing in 1909. The architecture is something of a controversy, but it is definitely worth a visit.
Visit the Marienplatz, which was instituted by Henry the Lion in 1158. The humble salt and grain market is now a thriving tourist center. Listen to the bells of the town hall’s tower pealing at 11 am and 5 pm.
For those of you who like a fantastic view of the city, climbing the tower of the oldest parish church in Munich is a good bet. The church is called St. Peter's and is in gothic style.
Walk through the vast West Park, which was made in 1983 for the International Garden Show. You can relax in the garden or have fun in any of the playgrounds or enjoy the amphitheatre and the lake.
It can be said that Munich is a great place to spend your holidays.
