So in a way they do much more than what we have learnt or heard about them. Many of them are participating and leading groups for carrying as well as teaching activities like hiking, fishing, camping and hunting. Eskimos are certainly the bet hunters. You can easily recognize them as their costumes and looks are quite different from the rest. Eskimos basically lived away from land and do basic activities to earn a living. They would eat raw; wear simple clothes made of raw materials and lived in Igloos. They have created instruments and tools which are quite popular today.
In Alaska, you would come across three groups namely Inupiat, Yupik and Siberian Yupik. All of them stay in the Tundra region and maintain a very simple lifestyle and carry forward what their ancestors have left. Their transformation has really not taken place. They depend on hunting completely for food. They are the best hunters and basically hunt polar bears, walrus, caribou, seals, moose, and whales. Mostly men do the hunting and women prefer staying at home and cooking whatever has been brought by their husbands. More than 50 percent of Eskimos reside in Alaska. They have become accustomed to icy cold weather and do not prefer to re locate anywhere else. They are certainly the gentlest beings in this world absolutely detached from the rest of the world.
