Thus, if you wish to know the details of the weather in Alaska today, you can browse through these websites and study the daily weather maps. According to the latest data available, the Alaskan weather today is marked by seasonal showers in the Aleutians and Panhandle. It is cool and sunny in the west central and northern parts, and sunny in the south central portions of Alaska. East Central Alaska will remain cool and have showers all throughout this week.


The next week or the last week of August will see flurries and cold sprinkles in the north, warm rains in the Panhandle and south central areas, and seasonal rains in all other areas. Thus, the annual forecast report of the Alaskan weather suggest that Alaska experienced warmest periods of the year 2010 during mid-June, end-June, the whole month of July, and in mid-August.

The next month’s (September 2010) weather conditions in Alaska are expected to be below the normal average to some extent. Heavy snowfalls and snow storms are expected in the northern part of Alaska in the last week of September and during the first and the fourth weeks of October this year. While the east central and the south central regions will experience heaviest snow in early part of October, west central region can expect it in late October.

Snowfall is expected to be above normal in most places in October. Consequently, the month of October is expected to much colder this year. Heaviest snowfalls and lowest temperatures are expected in all regions of Alaska during late November, December, and early January.
