South Carolina Festival Pageants
While the nickname for South Carolina maybe Palmetto State, it could very well also be 'Festival State'. The state is known to have over 425 festivals right around the year. And if there are festivals being held in the state, then it goes without saying that pageants will not be far behind. |
In fact, there are numerous South Carolina festival pageants that are held right around the year. Just like a majority of pageants, these too concentrate primarily on young girls. There are even websites dedicated to festival pageants where event organizers can register their pageants to get people to enroll online.
One pageant that is organized in South Carolina is The Glass Slipper Natural Beauty Pageant. This pageant is meant for young girls, right from newborns until the age of 16. In addition, the pageant does not require the contestants to reside in the state, and it organizes a whole series of multiple themed pageants right around the year. In addition, there are other festival pageants like the Mardi Gras Pageant held during Mardi Gras, usually during the month of February; South Carolina Perfect Teen Model Search Pageant, which helps to launch pro modeling and acting careers of young women; and then there is Miss Beauty of the World Pageant.
Similarly, nearly all festivals held in South Carolina will have a pageant open for young girls and women. These pageants are often one of the most interesting and entertaining features of the festivals and attract whole lot of people.
