Washington National Zoo
National Zoo Washington DC is a central place to trip in the capital city of USA. It was designed by F.L. The zoo is placed for various species of animals as well as revealed for pleasure and amusements. More than a few research plans are also approved in the zoological garden. Apart from on Christmas, zoo is unbolting on all days. The timing differs from season to season.
- From 30th October to 1st April the timings are from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.
- From 2nd April to 29th October the schedules are 6:00 am - 8:00 pm.
There are lots of food halt and stalls in the zoo site. The tourists are also allowed to bear their own foodstuff and munchies.
Washington DC National Zoo is a home for many genera of flora and fauna, fish, reptile, mammalian, and amphibians. Few rare species like Asian elephants, lions, cheetahs, sea lions, and flamingoes are also found. The place has grown to be a most wanted destination place not only for the children, but also for grown-ups in a similar way.
In adding up to usual animal residence, general meadow for grazing was intended along with ordinary rock mines to contain bears, and a proposal that was unproductive. Besides the traditional houses for animals, the zoo had plans for vast pastures where the animals the graze and it also has natural rock quarries where the bears could live. However, this was a proposal that did not see the light of the day. Only 2 of the innovative buildings survive nowadays, namely the Principal Animal House and the New Mammal House.
