There are many South American vacation spots that are worth visiting and when you go there, you will be awed by the beautiful landscape.


This fourth-largest continent in the world has managed to attracted visitors from all over the world who come to take in the sun and traverse all the nature trails that dot the continent.

The most popular South American vacation spots are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. People also visit the British Guyana, Surinam, and French Guyana, which fall under South America.

The most popular vacation spot has to be the Angel Falls, which is considered to the highest cascade in the world. Angel Falls is located in southeastern Venezuela and drops an astonishing 3,212 feet. The waterfall is named after James C Angel, the discoverer of this beautiful and enchanting fall.

One of the other South American vacation spots that should not be missed is Lake Titicaca. The lake is spread across two countries, Peru and Bolivia, and it is the largest lake in the continent. It has a width of 56 kilometers and a depth of 174 feet. Lake Titicaca is used as a sailing route between the two countries.

South America is blessed with many natural attractions. Some of the world's most unique animals can be found here. For example, llamas can be seen on the plateau stretching from Peru to Bolivia. Llama is an important animal for the local people. It provides them with milk, wool and meat. Then there is the tapir, found in the forests and grasslands in south and central America. Unfortunately the species of tapir living in the Andes and Panama are nearly extinct.
