- March or April: Easter and Holy Week. This holiday also includes Good Friday
- May 1: Labor Day or Day of the Worker
- May 21: Navy Day when the naval battle of Iquique and other victories by the Chilean navy are celebrated
- June 29: Feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul
- July 16: Fiesta de la Virgin del Carmen
- August 15: Assumption of Mary
- September 18: Independence Day, but the official proclamation of independence was on February 12, 1818
- September 19: Armed Forces Day
- October 12: Columbus Day, which celebrates the arrival of Columbus to the Americas
- October 31: Reformation Day
- November 1: All Saints Day
- December 8: Immaculate Conception
- mid-December: A public holiday is declared to allow voting for the presidential election to take place. This only occurs in the year when the election is being held.
- December 25: Christmas Day
