The Amazon basin experiences rain right round the year, but it is really wet right from April until September.
The Galapagos Islands are usually warm from January to April with temperatures hovering around 31 degrees Celsius or 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The Islands receive heavy rainfall during this period. But if you visit the Galapagos Islands from May to September, you will be pleasantly surprised by the cool misty weather.
Owing to the variation in the climate across the country, any time is the best time to travel to Ecuador. However, usually tourist season starts from June and lasts until early September. These months are considered to be best for outdoor activities like trekking, mountain biking or adventure sports. You can also visit Ecuador between December and January. This period is best to visit the Galapagos Islands.
