Tourist Visa To Travel To Thailand

As is the case with most countries, Americans do not require a tourist visa to travel to Thailand, if their stay is for just 30 days. However, if they want to stay beyond 30 days in the country, then the process of visa application is same as for any other country.

Here are the documents you will require for tourist visa to travel to Thailand:

A passport with 6 months validity and enough pages to stamp the visa is required
A copy of the passport
Visa application form has to be filled and signed
2 passport size pictures need to be submitted along with the application
If you are not a citizen of the United States, then you need to submit a copy of the Green Card or your US visa.
You need to submit a copy of the original ticket. E tickets and paper ticket are not accepted, so make sure it is the original air ticket.
Bank statements that show a minimum of $1,000 balance in the account should be provided along with the application

Thai tourist visa is only required when visitors expect to stay for more than the allowed period in the country. If a person is going to some other country from Thailand, then the tickets for the onward journey for that country needs to be shown at the immigration counter in order to get a visa. A proof explaining that you are leaving the country has to be provided in order to obtain a visa. A social visit or visiting Thailand for medical tourism also requires you to have a tourist visa, depending on the duration of your stay.
