Visa And Entry Requirement To Greece
If you want to see the beautiful and historical cities of Greece and you have an American passport, you will not require a visa; that is if the duration of your stay in Greece does not extend beyond 90 days. The same rule applies to business visa also. |
However, a person would need a visa only if he or she is traveling to another country from Greece or intends staying in Greece beyond the allowed 90 days.
Here are the visa and entry requirement to Greece that you should fulfill before entering the country:
- A valid passport should be valid for another 3 months from the day you exit Greece; a rule that applies to other Schengen countries.
- A visa application form duly filled and signed
- One passport sized photograph, which has been taken recently, should be attached along with the application form.
- Bank statements and credit card statements which show the recent activity for the last 3 months
- You also need to disclose the travel plan or the formal itinerary along with the application form.
- Non-EU nationals have to have letter of invitation from a resident living in Greece
- You also need to provide the details of the Schengen countries that you are intending to visit from Greece or on exit from Greece.
- You also need to provide the proof of hotel reservations and where you will be staying in complete detail to the immigration while staying in Greece.
- In case of group travel you would need to provide the proof of group travel and the contact details of the tour organizer.
