Visa Requirements For Norway

There are certain countries like the United States, the UK, countries in the European Union, Australia and New Zealand, whose nationals do not require a visa to visit Norway for up to 90 days. If the stay extends beyond 90 days, it is advisable to get a visa for Norway. Nationals from other countries have to obtain a visa prior to departure from their home country.

Visa Requirement for Norway:
The following documents are required to get a visa for Norway:

A valid passport that has a minimum of 6 months of validity
One duly filled visa application form
2 recent passport size photographs
Proof of confirmed accommodation. This includes hotel reservation and itinerary and these have to be submitted along with the application form.
If someone has invited you to stay like friend or family, then you should also attach a letter of invitation and the details of the family that has invited you to visit Norway.
An international health insurance and the proof of the insurance should be submitted along with the visa application form
Bank statements to show that you have sufficient funds to take care of your expenses during your stay in the country. These have to be attached along with the visa application form.
In addition, you have to pay a visa processing fee equivalent in Euros in your country's currency.

This is just the basic visa requirement for Norway and additional documents that need to be submitted can change from country to another. Therefore, it is best to check with the Norwegian embassy in your country as to what additional documents you may have to furnish along with the above mentioned ones.
