Visa Requirements To Travel To South Korea

Visa Requirements To Enter Hong Kong

There are certain countries where nationals of those countries can stay in Hong Kong for a limited period of time without a visa. The list of those countries can be gotten from the official Hong Kong government website. However, for most other nationals, visa is required before arriving into Hong Kong. The same also applies to nationals of countries who do not require a visa if your stay period exceeds the visa free period.

The following is the visa requirements to enter Hong Kong:

  • It goes without saying that you require a valid passport with enough blank leaves to stamp the visa.
  • A duly filled and signed visa application form
  • Two recent passport size photographs
  • Sufficient funds to cover your stay in Hong Kong and these funds should be available without you having to work in Hong Kong during your visit to the island.
  • You should have a return or onward ticket for your home country or your next destination.

You need to submit these documents either by post or through a local sponsor to the Hong Kong Immigration Department. If you want to shorten the visa application process, you can also fax the application and supporting documents first and then ensure that you send the originals through airmail. The visa will only be issued after the original documents are received.

As mentioned earlier, nationals requiring visa to travel to Hong Kong should make sure that they get their visa prior to arrival or they will not be allowed entry into Hong Kong.
